WAEC: Why attestation of Buhari’s results may be fake – Jonathan’s ex-aide, Omokri

A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on new media, Reno Omokri, on Saturday disclosed why he thinks the West African Examination Council, WAEC, attestation of results given to President Muhammadu Buhari may be fake. WAEC, through its Registrar, Iyi Uwadiae, had on Friday  issued an attestation of results  to Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. In his continued reaction to the development, Omokri posted a series of tweets where he said, “@Cambridge_Uni confirmed that certificates they issued in 1961 had only numbers for grades and no alphabets. Psychiatrists want collaboration on mental health awareness

Psychiatrists have called on professionals in mental health to collaborate with non-professional organisations to educate and create more awareness about mental issues in the society. The psychiatrists made the appeal at a seminar organised by two NGOs, the Nous Foundation Nigeria and Sparkle Foundation Nigeria, on Saturday in Lagos. A Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Otefe Edebi, said that psychiatrists played a huge role in informing and educating the public about mental health. Bill Gates Cancels $5m Aid To Saudi Charity Over Murder Of Journalist Khashoggi

Bill Gates The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is canceling most of its $5 million pledge to the MiSk Foundation, a Saudi charity headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The “c urrent situation”  played a part in the Gates Foundation’s decision, a spokesperson told The Wall Street Journal, referring to the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. “Jamal Khashoggi’s abduction and murder is extremely troubling. We are observing current events with concern,”  the foundation said in a statement. Khashoggi, a Saudi national and columnist for The Washington Post, was killed on Oct. 2 inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. After weeks of denying involvement, the Kingdom admitted he had been killed at the consulate and that it was premeditated. The funeral of Thai billionaire and Leicester City Football Club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, killed in a helicopter crash a week ago, got underway at a Bangkok temple on Saturday. The funeral began with a Buddhist bathing rite using water bestowed by the Thai King. Vichai, 60, founder of Thai duty-free giant King Power International, was killed last Saturday along with four others. The incident occurred when his helicopter crashed outside the King Power Stadium in the English city of Leicester after an English Premier League match. The funeral, closed to the public and media, was attended by Vichai’s relatives, friends and senior Thai politicians and football officials. An Indonesian rescue diver died in a search operation for a jet that crashed early this week near Jakarta, killing all 189 people on board, the search and rescue agency (Basarnas) said on Saturday. Syachrul Anto, 48, died on Friday while diving to search for victims of the crashed Lion Air aircraft, the agency said on Saturday. “Deepest condolences for the passing of a humanitarian hero from the Indonesian Diving Rescue Team,” Basarnas chief Muhammad Syaugi said in a news release. It was not immediately clear how Anto perished. Anto’s family had chosen not to conduct an autopsy and asked for his remains to be buried immediately, Basarnas spokesman Yusuf Latif told Reuters by text message.
